The sum of all the angles of a right triangle is 180°
On a right triangle, one angle is a 90° (the right angle)

180-90=90
So the two acute angles must add up to a total of 90°

An acute triangle is a triangle with three angles that equal less than 90 degrees.

A right triangle is a triangle with a right angle, that measures 90 degrees.
