It is false. For example, blue in Southern Africa represents endless possibilities while in several asian countries such as Japan it means prosperity and wealth.

The statement that the meaning associated with a particular color is the same from culture to culture is false. In contrast, different cultures make their own associations with different colours. Example: In Japan purple signifies wealth and power, while in Ukraine and Egypt, it signifies faith, patience and trust.
