a) Yes.

b). only two possible outcomes, yes or no.

c) The probability that in a random sample of 2, no one has been abroad is

P(X=0)=^2C_0(0.40)(0.60)^2^{}_{}
P(X=0)=0.144

d) The probability that in a random sample of 2, at least one has been abroad is

P(X\ge1)=1-P(0)
P(X\ge1)=1-0.144=0.856
