Two angles are complementary if the sum of their degrees is equal to 90º. therefore:


\begin{gathered} m\angle1+m\angle2=90 \\ 56+m\angle2=90 \\ 56+m\angle2-56=90-56 \\ m\angle2=34 \end{gathered}

answer m<2= 34°
