Aspirin can cure a headache, but when you pop an aspirin tablet, how does the aspirin know to go to your head rather than your big toe?

It is a systemic non-steroidal anti-inflammatory, which means once it's digested and enter's the blood stream it works on the whole body. The inflammation causing the headache will be treated as well as any other inflammation in the body.
