Distribute the denominator on the left side firt.

(4)/(6x+72) = 10

Multiply by "6x+72" on both sides.

4 = 60x+720

Simplify.

x = -(179)/(15)

You distribute the 4/6 and it'll be (4/6x)+4/6*12=10
