I wandered lonely as a cloud That floats on high o'er vales and hills, When all at once I saw a crowd, A host, of golden daffodils; Beside the lake, beneath the trees, Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Explain the tone

The tone started off as loneliness because of the sentence, "I wandered lonely as a cloud." However, the main tone I get from reading this is peacefulness because of words such as "fluttering" and "dancing in the breeze".

The tone starts starts out lonely, like the author says, and turns to cheerful, as the author sees the daffodils.
The words "Fluttering" and "dancing" helped you determine that the author is happy, and the words "wandering" and "lonely" help you determine the beginning tone.

Hope this helps ya
