(f+g)(x)=0 means
f(x)+g(x)=0

x²-2+6x+4=0
x²+6x+2=0
using math and quadratic formula
x=-3+√7 or -3-√7

Combine f(x) and g(x) to make x^2 -2 +6x +4=0. Simplify to solve. You are actually going to have to use the quadratic formula because once you simplify, you can't factor evenly. Let me know if you need the quadratic formula.
P.S I DO NOT give direct answers. I tell you how to get to the answer so you might learn how to do it again.
