Mr. smith baked 3 trays of 36 cookies. After they cooled he divided the cookies evenly into 4 bags. How many cookies did mr. smith place in each bag?

I did this in my head but I did 3*36 and got 108 and then divided by 4 and got 27 so 27 is the answer. This is a trick question because it is saying that there were 36 cookies per three pans and that added up is a big number and then you take off all the cookies and put it into 4 bags.

3x36=108
108/4=27
You get 108 in total and then divide it by the four bags and you'll put 27 cookies in each bag :)
