\sec x(\sec x+\tan x)=\sec^2x+\sec x\tan x

Recall that
(\tan x)'=\sec^2x, and
(\sec x)'=\sec x\tan x.

So,


\displaystyle\int \sec x(\sec x+\tan x)\,\mathrm dx=\tan x+\sec x+C
