Respond to the following in complete sentences: Identify which of the following examples uses figurative language to describe the image. What makes the example you identified figurative language? Which device is used?

The protesters continued to gather on the marble steps of City Hall; they were a peaceful crowd that wanted to see changes made.

The group of protesters who surrounded City Hall was not a fly buzzing in one's ear; instead, they were a swarm of bees that demanded attention.

They are comparing the two sentences one is as peacefull crowd that wanted change while as to the second sentence describes the protesters as a swarm of bees. So it's a comparison of the two. The second one uses figurative language.
