48 in = 4 ft. 4ft= 1 door mat 4 ft + 4ft = 8 ft 2. door mats. you cannot fit anymore so your answer is
2 door mats

she can make two complete doormats. 48 inches converts to 4 ft. 4 can go into 10 twice, with two feet remaining
