x - 3y + 4

To make an equivalent expression, all you have to do is multiply the WHOLE equation by any number, and that equation is equivalent.

Ex : Multiplying it by 3.

3 (x - 3y + 4)

3x - 9y + 12 is equivalent to x - 3y + 4

~Hope I helped!~
