Luna chose a card at random from a standard deck of 52 cards. What is the probability that she chose a spade greater than 10 ( J,Q,K,A) ?

B. 1/2
C. 4/13
D. 1/13

There are a total of 52 cards, and there are only 4 cards that could be a spade greater than 10. So, the probablility is 4/52. However, we are not done yet because that fraction can be simplified. In its simplest form, the answer is 1/13.
