Answer: The probability of picking the one marshmallow is green=
=(2)/(7)

Explanation:

The number of green marshmallow = 4

The total number of marshmallows =5+2+3+4=14

The probability of picking the one marshmallow is green
=\frac{\text{number of green marshmallows}}{\text{total marshmallows}}

⇒The probability of picking the one marshmallow is green=
(4)/(14)=(2)/(7)

∴The probability of picking the one marshmallow is green=
=(2)/(7)

To be able to answer this item, first we add up all the number of marshmallows. That is,
n = 5 + 2 + 3 + 4 = 14
Out of the 14 marshmallows, only 4 of which are green which will lead us to the answer to this item being equal to 4/14 or 2/7.
