Read the excerpt from Matilda by Roald Dahl.

"I . . . I . . . I simply put the fourteen down in my head and multiply it by nineteen," Matilda said. "I'm afraid I don't know how else to explain it. I've always said to myself that if a little pocket calculator can do it why shouldn't I?"

Matilda's words in this excerpt reveal that she

A.is able to do a lot more than multiplication tables.
B.is uncomfortable and ashamed of her unusual talents.
C.has no idea why she has such a special talent.
D.has a dislike for technology such as the pocket calculator

I believe it is C because she struggled in the beginning and  she said it in the most simplest way possible that she even she does not understand how she is able to do it.

In this excerpt from "Matilda", by Roald Dahl, Matilda's words reveal that she C. has no idea why she has such a special talent. Matilda is the daughter of the Wormwoods. Although she is five she can read and do maths. Her parents and her elder brother have no interest in Matilda or in her talents. She goes to the local library to fetch books, which she reads for hours on end and finds comfort in them.
