1/2(7x + 48) = 3.5x + 24
-(1/2x - 3) + 4(x + 5) = -0.5x + 3 + 4x + 20 = 3.5x + 23

1/2(7x + 48) = 3.5x + 24
-(1/2x - 3) + 4(x + 5) = -0.5x + 3 + 4x + 20 = 3.5x + 23
So yes,
1/2(7x + 48) will always have higher value.
new expression that always has a greater value than both of these expressions is: 3.5x + 25
