Based on the sequence, the answer for question (a) is 3.5 which is the value of the common difference. The recursive rule for the sequence is x = n + 3.5.
2.5 + 3.5 = 6
6 + 3.5 = 9.5
9.5 + 3.5 = 13
13 + 3.5 = 16.5
16.5 + 3.5 = 20
Hope this helps.
