2(2x+3)=x^2 +3
Distribute
4x+6=x^2+3
Subtract 6 from both sides
4x= x^2 -3
Add 3 to both sides
4x-3=x^2
Divide by an x
4-3/x=x
Multiply by the reciprocal of -3/x which is a positive 1x/3
4= x^2/3
Multiply by 3 to both sides
12=x^2
To get an independent x you find the square root of both sides
And you will get
x= the square root of 12(You can simplify this to 2 square root 3.
