The formula for the volume of a rectangular prism is...

V=l*w*h where l=length w=width and h=height
Plug in the data that we know
0.375=1.5*w*0.5
0.375=0.75w
divide both sides by 0.75
0.5ft=w

Answer=0.5ft

Answer

Volume(V) of a box is given by:

V = lwh ......[1]

where,

l is the length of the box.

w is the width of the box.

h is the height of the box.

As per the statement:

The volume of the tool box is 0.375 ft³.

⇒V =0.375 ft³.

It is also given that the height of the tool box is 0.5 ft, and the length is 1.5 ft.

⇒h = 0.5 ft and l = 1.5 ft

Substitute the given values in [1] we have ;

0.375 = 1.5 \cdot w \cdot 0.5

0.375=0.75w

Divide both sides by 0.75 we have;

⇒0.5 ft = w

Therefore, the width of Deena's tool box is , 0.5 ft.
