Okay. Let's start with the easy bit.
4 1/8 is 33/8
2 3/8 is 19/8.
So 33/8 - 19/8 = 14/8. Simplify and we get 1 6/8, or
1 3/4
. This is the amount of fabric used, so I don't agree with what she said.
