We are given that in a race there are 8 woman and 7 men. We are asked to determine the probability that the three first finisher are all men. To do that we will firs determine the probability that the first finisher is a man. We calculate this by finding the quotient between the number of men and the total number of people in the race, like this:


P(m_1)=(7)/(8+7)=(7)/(15)

Now, if the first finisher is a man this means that there are 6 men left on the race, therefore, the probability that the second finisher is a man is:
