To solve the given problem we need to take x as the number of bottles that were recycled by Betty. We know that Bruce recycled twice as many bottles as Betty, which means he recycled 2x.

In total, they recycled 3x, now to see the percent recycled by Bruce, divide the amount recycled by him by the total amount and multiply by 100, this way:

He recycled 66.6% of the 600 bottles.
