Why is it unusual for congress to override a presidential veto?

Hey there!
Congress has to get a 2/3 majority in both the House of Representatives and the Senate in order to override a presidentsl veto. This would take a lot of time and effort to rally up the votes, that congress would rather write a new bill or move on to other bills.
Hope this helps.
