Terms

A term can be defined as a number or a product of a number and variables raise to a power.

The expression given is,

-4b^3+(1)/(6)b^2-b+10

Let us start from the three degree polynomial

- 4b³ is a term, which is the combination of coefficient (-4) and a variable raise to power of three.

Secondly, on the two degree polynomial

+1/6b² is a term, which is the combination of coefficient (+1/6) and a variable raise to power of two.

Thirdly,

-b is a term, which is the combination of coefficient (-1) and a variable raise to power of one.

Lastly,

10 is a term, thr reason is because 10 is a constant.

Hence, the terms are

-4b^3,+(1)/(6)b^2,-b,+10

The polynomial consists of 4 terms.
