Yes
5% of $60 is 60*.05=3
Thus tax is $3
She will have $57 after tax.
She has enough to buy a $12 ticket.

Answer: Janet will have enough money to purchase a $12 movie ticket.

Explanation:

Given : Money that Janet has = $ 60

Tax rate = 5% =0.05 [when we convert percentage into decimal , we divide it by 100 ]

Tax amount = (Money that Janet has) x (xTax rate)

= ($60) x (0.05)

= $3

Money will left after paying tax = $60- $3= $57

Since $57 is much higher amount than $12, so Janet has enough money to purchase a $12 movie ticket.
