divide 5000 by 17.5%

To find the tax..you have to take the percentage from the car cost. In the cost, 5000,move the decimal left once to get 10%.

500= 10%

Now, you need the 7.5 left...

Move the decimal over twice to get 1%

50=1%

Now do 50 x 7 to get the 7%= which is 350

And now you need the last .5%, so divide 50 by 2.

You get 25= .5%

Now you add it up.

25+350=500= 875 Tax

So now you add the Tax and the car cost, which is B. $5,875
