(2x+5y)^(2) is (2x+5y)(2x+5y) so now you use FOIL (First, Outer, Inner, Last) to distribute.


4x^(2)+10xy+10xy+
25y^(2)
Now combine like terms

4 x^(2)+20xy+ 25y^(2)
