area of parallelogram
A = bh
A = 8x10
A = 80 cm^2

---------------------------
right triangle

c^2 = a^2 + b^2 (a = b)
so
c^2 = 2a^2
a^2 = c^2 / 2
a^2 = 64/2
a^2 = 32
a= 4√2

area of triangle
A = 1/2bh
A = 1/2(4√2)(4√2)
A = 1/2 (32)
A = 16 cm^2

answer = 16 cm^2

first you do base times height which is 80 then you divide it by 2 and your answer would be 40. ( b x h /2 )
