Hello :
the sum of the geometric sequence. (1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16) is :
s = 1× (1-(1/2)^5)/(1-(1/2))=(1-(1/32)/(1/2) =(31/32)/(1/2) =31/16
