Which of the following elements in the given reaction is reduced?

ZnO+H2 ...... Zn+H2O

Answer should be C. Look for oxidation numbers to determine whether they are being reduced or oxidised. Oxidation number of Zn in ZnO is +2, oxidation number of Zn (product) is 0. So oxidation number reduce by 2. Hence, Zn is being reduced.
