ANSWER

\begin{gathered} BagA=5th \\ BagB=4th \\ BagC=7th \end{gathered}

Step-by-step explanation

From the given number line.

it has 8 labels which has a difference of 1 pounds.

3-2=1

To get the decimal fraction for each label we divide 1 by 8;

(1)/(8)=0.125

Given the weights of the bags;

\begin{gathered} BagA=2(1)/(2)=2.5 \\ Bag\text{ B=2}(3)/(8)=2.375 \\ BagC=2(3)/(4)=2.75 \end{gathered}

Since each label on the number line differs by 0.125,

BagA;

BagA=(0.5)/(0.125)=4

BagA falls on the 4th label which is the mid point on the number line.

BagB;

\begin{gathered} BagB=2.375 \\ (0.375)/(0.125)=3 \end{gathered}

bag B falls on the 4th line

For bag C;

\begin{gathered} BagC=2.75 \\ (0.75)/(0.125)=6 \end{gathered}

Hence bag C falls on the 7th
