At first, she was 3000 feet above. Then, she climbed 1800 feet.
Which means 3000+1800=4800 feet
Then, she lost 2200 feet... 4800-2200=2600 feet

You are at 3000 you gain 1800 then lose 2200. so you doo 4800 minus 2200 which is 2600
