An auditorium has a floor area of 20,000 square feet. The length of the auditorium is twice its width. Find the dimensions of the room.

Answer:

w = 100 ft , length = 200ft

Explanation:

A = 2x * x => 2x^2

20,000 = 2x^2

10,000 = x^2

x = square root of 10,000 = + - 100

w = 100 ft , length = 200ft
