the residents of jamestown have maybe wanted slaves to make them do everything they need to do and so they wouldnt be ding them selves

Many Jamestown Colonist wanted indentured servants because they needed help on their tobacco plantations. A lot of workers were needed to farm tobacco. Indentured servants also did household chores like cooking and cleaning
