The right options are; light particles and heated gases

Aurora is an atmospheric phenomenon created by charged particles released from the sun which strikes the upper atmosphere, creating colored lights in the sky. The sun releases lots of energy through heated gases and light particles which interact with the atoms in the upper atmosphere to produce an aurora. An aurora is usually named australis or borealis based on whether it is in the southern or northern hemispheres respectively.
