6x + 3y = 9
2x + 3y = 1

Subtract the equations from each other.

4x = 8

Divide both sides by 4.

x = 2

Plug in (2) for x in the first equation.

6x + 3y = 9

6(2) + 3y = 9

12 + 3y = 9

Subtract 12 from both sides.

3y = (9-12)

3y = -3

Divide both sides by 3.

y = -1

(2, -1)

Solution 1: 6(x) + 3(y) = 9
Solution 2: 2(x) + 3(y) = 1

For the y-intercept; solution 2
"2" becomes a negative
3(y) which is equal to -2(x) + 1
Take off the "3" then this becomes y =
(-2(x))/(3) +

Moving on to the x-intercept ; the first solution
6(x) + 3
( (-2(x))/(3) ) + (1)/(9) = 9

We can simplify to find the x-intercept
4(x) = 8
the x-intercept is 2

(-2(x) )/(3) + (1)/(3) = ?
