(3/8)d=12 is the starting equation. You need to separate d from the rest of the numbers by dividing both side by (3/8) or multiplying both sides by the reciprocal of (3/8) which is (8/3).
Then multiply 12(8/3) which is 32.

(3/8)d=12
d=12(8/3)
d=32
