one lap is .25 miles. so 9 laps would be 2.25 miles in 2.5 minutes. miles/minute is what we are trying to find. it is exactly what it looks like the amount of miles divided bye he amount of minutes, so 2.25/2.5 ur answer is 0.9 miles/minute
