To find the Area of the circle, you'd do: radius^2 x pi, or 22/7.
To get the radius, you'd divide the diameter by 2.
28/2 = 14 (radius)
Then take that answer times itself, then times 22/7.
So you'd get 14*14*22
7 .
And to make it easier, you see that 14 is a multiple of 7. So after you multiply 14*14, you'd use the cancelling method.
Meaning, that you'd divide 7 into the answer for 14*14, then put a one in the place of the 7, and the amount of times that 7 goes into 14*14 in place of that.
