From the given graph,

5 pears can be purchased at the rate of $2

To find the unit rate of the price per pear, i.e for the price of a pear,

Let the price of a pear be x

\begin{gathered} (2)/(5)=(x)/(1) \\ \text{Crossmultiply} \\ 5* x=2*1 \\ 5x=2 \\ \text{Divide both sides by 5} \\ (5x)/(5)=(2)/(5) \\ x=\text{ \$0.4} \end{gathered}

Hence, the unit rate of the price of a pear is $0.4
