Since both the parallelograms are similar to their sides will be in the same ratio.


(3)/(4.5) =(4)/(x)

Here, x is the unknown side of the larger parallelogram

By cross multiplication

3x = 4 × 4.5

3x = 18.0

x =
(18.0)/(3) = 6.0 cm

Since perimeter of a parallelogram = sum of all sides.

= 4.5 + 4.5 + 6.0 + 6.0

= 9 + 12.0
