Explanation:

The given system of linear equations:

y= x- 6 ..(i)

5x+3y = 14 ...(ii)

Substitute value of y in (ii), we get


5x +3(x-6)=14\\\\\Rightarrow\ 5x+3x-18=14\\\\\Rightarrow \ 8x=14+18\\\\\Rightarrow\ 8x=32\\\\\Rightarrow\ x=4

Put value of x in (i) , we get


y=4-6=-2

Hence, Required solution:

x-coordinate: 4

y-coordinate: -2
