If we solve the equations for x and y, it will be the point at which the 2 graphs of the equation meet.

A) x -2y = -1
B) -3x + y = 8
Multiplying B) by 2
B) -6x + 2y = 16 Then adding this to A)
A) x -2y = -1
-5x = 15
x = -3
B) -3*-3 + y = 8
B) 9 + y = 8
y = -1

So, if we graphed these two equations, they would meet at the point (-3, -1)
