1. A factory makes light bulbs. Out of 400 light bulbs, 18 were found to have defective filaments.

a. What is the experimental probability that the next light bulb manufactured will have a defective filament?
b. Predict how many bulbs out of 6,000 will have defective filaments.

The answer to A is
(9)/(200) because it is
(18)/(400) , which can both be halved.
And the answer for B is 270 because 6000 / 14 = 15, so 18 x 15 = 270.
