Answer:

A number is said to be rational if it can be written in the form of
(p)/(q),

such that ,q≠0.

Or, if written in terms of decimals it will be either terminating Decimal or non terminating repeating decimal.

⇒A number is said to be Irrational if it can't be written in the form of
(p)/(q),

such that ,q≠0.

Or, if written in terms of decimals it will be either non terminating Decimal or non terminating non repeating decimal. For example

=√(2),√(3),8\pi

1.→2.876=Rational

2.→√16=4=Rational

3.→3π=Irrational

4.→
(23)/(40)\\\\=0.575=Rational
