What happens to sedimentary rock after pressure occurs more layer

It will turn into metamorphic rock because after heat and pressure sedimentary rock turns into metamorphic rock.

Once pressure occurs which is called compaction, it forms a sedimentary rock. It can be compacted over and over again.
