Solve for x
(x-2)^2=49
Square root both sides
x-2=7
Add 2 to both sides
Final Answer: x=9
Make sure 9 is the correct answer
(9-2)^2=49
Subtract 2 from 9
7^2=49
Square 7
Final Answer: 49=49
This proves that 9=x
