Perform indicated multiplication on left side of the equation...

8x+56=0 subtract 56 from both sides

8x=-56 divide both sides by y

x=-7

First simplify so 4(2x + 14) = 0
then reorder to get (56 + 8x) = 0
Move all terms that have x to the left, all the other terms to the right.
add -56 to each side of this equation summing up to 56 + -56 + 8x = 0 + -56
combine like terms a couple of times to get
0 + -56 = -56 8x = -56
Then divide each side by 8 giving you the answer of x = -7
Sorry for the wait.
