A movie theater conducted a survey of its customers. Twelve people were selected at random and asked how many times they had gone to a movie theater in the past month. The movie theater recorded the results.

What was the estimated mean number of movies a customer has seen?

Here, you know that 12 people answered.

Therefore :

Take the "M" for mean :


M= (1+4+2+7+3+11+3+5+1+1+1+3)/(12)

M= (42)/(12)

M = 3.5

In short, you answer would be C. 3.5.
